Te Mata Cheese Company continues its record of performing extremely well at the Annual National Cheese Awards, with a total of 9 medals in this years show..
Te Mata received 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal for its blue cheeses with Te Mata Creamy Blue being awarded the Champion Trophy in the Blue Cheese Class. 'I am thrilled with this result' Karryn Bish, co-owner said. "At Te Mata we have been focussing on our blue cheeses, and it is great to see that hard work paying off." "Blue Cheeses are a personal favourite of mine, and of our cheesemaker Benny Matthews' said Mrs Bish.
